Paz Vallejo is a visual artist based in Barcelona, Spain. Her work revolves around photography and moving image/video.

Her practice includes personal projects and commissioned/commercial work.

Paz’ personal work is inspired by everything around her, both in her dreams and as a documentation of life itself.

She uses photography to capture daily life from a nostalgic and distinctive perspective. She is driven by the desire to generate micro-universes to create stories in which viewers can immerse and get lost in. Creating is an inevitable response to personal problems and concerns: a quest to simplify life and to catalyze emotional climaxes, expressing them outside of the body. For Paz, the creative process is the true reason for producing the work. It is in getting lost in it that she finds the real meaning behind why she does what she does, though it is often a constant struggle between what she believes it should be and what it actually is. Paz is constantly transformed through her work, which is why the result of her work is often contemplative, full of life and color or contrast.
