Dreams, the occult, symbolism and iconography

(ongoing project)

Dreams, the occult, symbolism and iconography is a photographic collection dealing with mystic oneirism, real life situations that can be confused with dreams and universal hidden messages while hyper focusing on the mundane. A visual enquiry into moments where reality feels suspended and dreamlike. Each photograph presents the viewer with a moment in the artist’s life — unplanned or casualties of the way she lives. Glimpses of time where she got lost inside a very visually and emotionally charged situation that felt as the dimension she lives in was torn open and revealed something that is hidden beneath everything that is physical.

These photographic pieces serve as windows or portals into a space where time bends, slows down, or dissolves. Revealing symbols of hope and faith, symbols of the light in the midst of darkness, symbols that pushed her to go back to those memories, like deja vus.

Are these hidden messages the universe sends us pushing us to wake up or to keep dreaming? This body of work positions itself as a visual diary into the misunderstood game between the seen and unseen, the conscious and the subconscious, challenging the viewer to decipher the veiled truths within these real-life portals.

This project will continue to evolve as the artist's journey unfolds...
